This company is a reputable specialist Construction company who works within the Commercial and Industrial Sector. Most recently this business has gone through major acquisitions and has made a strong impact across the industry. 

About the role:
This position will hold the responsibility of providing accounting support to the financial manager. You will hold direct relationships with the creditors, debtors and banking systems, however, the majority of this position will focus primarily on Accounts Payable. 
 
Key Duties:
  • Process supplier invoices in CAT Project system
  • Receive authorised invoices back for upload to MoneyWorks System
  • Arrange for weekly and monthly payment runs ex MoneyWorks to suppliers
  • Monitor invoices and copy those of a Fixed Asset nature
  • Field payment queries and requests for information from suppliers
  • Ensure bank account details of suppliers are correct
  • Ensure aged balances with suppliers are monitored and queried with QS’s where necessary
  • Month-end general ledger reconciliations
  • Bank Reconciliations
  • File GST & FBT return monthly/annually
Payroll
  • Undertake the weekly payroll process for NZ Strong wages staff.
  • Process authorised employee reimbursement requests.
  • PAYE returns and other IRD returns
  • Attend to any requests relating to payrolls 
 Administration
  • Answer the phone and take messages on the odd occasion when required.
  • Where possible, document elements of the role & processes in a “how to document”.

  • CATS
  • MoneyWorks
  • Microsoft Excel   
The Ideal Candidate:

• Effective Communicator 
• Experience in accounts within the construction industry is preferred but not essential
• 3+ years' experience in Accounts Payable
• Attention to detail
• Flexible and adaptable
• Enthusiastic and driven to achieve personal and work goals
• Understands and manages financial information on a daily basis
  
We are looking for someone who has experience with Accounts Payable within a busy Company. You will have meticulous attention to detail and enjoy planning and organising. The ability to communicate effectively is paramount. This role will require you to work not only as part of a team but also on your own whilst managing a part time staff so being able to adapt within constantly changing environments is important.
