Located at the top of Queen street and also in Ponsonby road, Le Garde Manger is a small French restaurant. We specialize in traditional bistro cuisine, and galette/crepe.
The person we are looking for, would be responsible for operating the kitchen, supervising and cooking preparation and running services. To ensure the good operation of the kitchen, it will be essential that you complete regular stock-take and order supply accordingly, monitor the quality of inward goods and finished products, train other chefs and kitchen hands to perform at their best.
Ideally, you would have experience at running a kitchen in a cafe or a restaurant. An experience as a sous-chef or second chef, in NZ, can do. The attitude and motivation is more important.
And you must be highly organized, mature, clean, having an eye for detail and honest. You will also be required to have the appropriate outfit, a good personal hygiene, and your knives.
