Our client is a key player in the New Zealand market, who pride themselves on their progressive approach. Based in Newmarket, our client offers a good working environment and the opportunity to be part of an exciting team!


We are looking for an Accounts Payable Administrator for a 6 month assignment to manage a variety of tasks. You will be responsible for working with the accounts payable team, overseeing an email inbox and centralising their communication flow (answering emails, phones, and following up on queries), assisting with accounts payable, loading invoices and maintaining a database.

This is a great role for some who loves a challenging and busy role that offers pace and variety. You will also have the opportunity to work on current accounting projects as part of your personal development.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Accounts Payable processing
  • Taking suppliers calls and emails
  • Following up with resolutions
  • Assisting with completion of payment reports
  • Managing query turnaround time
  • Preparing incoming invoices
  • Supporting projects
  • Month end assistance
You may be an administrator with an Accounting degree or have previous experience with a similar environment and wanting to develop yourself further. Ideally you will have a positive attitude, resilient, professional and wanting to work in a fun team.


To be successful in this role you will need:

  • Previous experience with accounting functions
  • A good eye for detail is imperative
  • Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Friendly and professional manner with the ability to relate to people at all levels of the organisation
  • Superb written and verbal communication skills
  • A natural and enthusiastic team player with a positive attitude and willingness to work collaboratively to deliver outstanding results
