Your Role

The experience and skills of a B2B & Group Travel Co-ordinator is the basis of the success of STA Travel, and for our customers you are the company. Your primary responsibility is to achieve sales targets and generate revenue through meeting or exceeding B2B & Groups travel account needs and expectations through promotion of STA Travel products. A B2B & Group Travel Co-ordinator is responsible for ensuring that they support the STA Travel company values & behaviours and promote the company culture.


What you're accountable for?

Business Performance: Deliver Results

  • Process all business development & group travel enquiry
  • To work to and exceed monthly revenue targets as determined by your Business Development Manager
  • To maximise revenue generation by selling preferred products wherever possible
  • To have a general understanding of B2B and Group Travel sales, revenue and performance objectives
  • To effectively use STA Travel’s reporting tools
  • To help minimise operating costs, particularly those resulting from ticketing reporting errors and passenger compensation issues
  • To help generate new B2B & Groups enquiry and participate in local marketing efforts

Business Development: The customer experience

  • To sell and raise awareness of the complete range of STA Travel products
  • To maximise revenue by meeting or exceeding customer needs and expectations which differentiates STA Travel in the market place
  • To be aware of and to help maintain the B2B & Groups image at all times
  • To assist in the general promotion and events of STA Travel in the local area as determined from time to time by your Business Development Manager
  • Maintain an agreed SLA turnaround time for quotes and enquiry

Team Development: To recognise, develop and exceed your personal potential within your team & STA Travel

  • To participate in in-house training and toolbox meetings as required by Head Office
  • Following your initial training, to pro-actively develop personal product and systems knowledge and to be aware of changes and developments
  • Coach and assist new Travel Experts within the team
  • To participate as an individual and as an effective team member towards the overall financial success of B2B & Groups

Store Operation: To ensure all company policies and procedures are understood and adhered to

  • To assist with day-to-day administration duties as determined by the Business Development Manager
  • To comply with all store best practice policy (related to the Customer Relations, Product, Finance, Marketing, Sales, Systems and Training departments)
  • To comply with the company dress code at all times whilst representing STA Travel. Our dress code is smart, casual attire
  • To understand and adhere to administration and security procedures as determined by your Business Development Manager and STA Travel company policy

Experience:

  • Solid background in sales including a preference with working towards sales targets
  • Minimum of 2 years working in a customer service environment
  • Experience in the travel industry desirable but not essential
  • Experience in the use of travel related systems including Amadeus (or similar)
  • Good understanding and experience in the use of Microsoft products
  • Previous corporate or group travel experience preferred but not essential
