About the role

Our dedicated Kitchen team are looking for a hard working and reliable Cook to join them on a part time basis, delivering excellent service to our residents. You will be both honest and reliable, with the ability to work as part of a supportive team.

You'll be responsible for creating hearty, quality home cooking so whipping up delicious offerings is easy for you and coordinating the kitchen is effortless. Additionally you will bring to our team a mature can-do attitude with the ability to communicate and relate well to a range of people.

On offer is a part time opportunity, working 32 hours per week. Flexibility to work a variety of shifts is essential, including weekends.

Skills and experience required

You will appreciate how important this position is in delivering an outstanding service to our residents, so you will have empathy for the older person; excellent written and spoken English with the ability to communicate in a clear, considerate fashion; and an industrious, diligent approach to ensuring that the job is done to the highest standards.

You will also have:

• Exceptional cooking skills
• Commercial kitchen experience
• Outstanding customer service skills
• Food industry qualification preferrable
• Excellent food hygiene practices and personal presentation
