Rainforest Retreat is a tourism business located in Franz Josef on the West Coast of the South Island. We have a large backpackers, Motels, Luxury lodges a holiday park and our hugely popular monsoon bar & restaurant. We cater for many tour companies including Kiwi Experience, Stray Travel, Active NZ and Contiki
This is a multi-tasked full time role. Each morning you will be working in the housekeeping department cleaning and servicing all the rooms and associated areas within the complex. Extra hours will be available working in various departments depending on suitability from bar and restaurant, laundry or night/early morning cleans.
You will be required to have the following:
Excellent customer service skills.
Experience in housekeeping.
Being a great team player and most importantly having a fun positive attitude.
We have a wide and diverse range of clients and expect our staff to offer the highest work standards in every department.Time management skills, social management skills and excellent customer service skills are important in our team. We all work hard together to achieve a great environment for guests and staff to enjoy and relax in. With the large development of this business there is lots of room for staff input into different areas of the business.
You must be willing to work weekends and public holidays. You will work on average 40 hours per week.
We are looking for people who are able to commit to stay until the end of the summer season.
Franz Josef is situated 2-hour drive from Hokitika and is a little town with small town facilities.
Due to limited staff accommodation, we are ideally looking for a couple or two friends who can share a room unless you already have your own accommodation.
