About the business and the role
Are you looking for something new and exciting for your next step in life? Does living and progressing your career under the shadow of Mt Ruapehu in the middle of the spectacular Tongariro National Park sound appealing? You will be responsible for the Chateau Tongariro throughout the night and also for all the auditing duties during the night.
Job tasks and responsibilities
1) Efficient operation of the Front Office and security of the hotel in the absence of the Front Office Manager.
2) Responsible and efficient operation during the night shift.
3) Review all daily sales and transactions from all departments within the hotel.
4) Assist the guests, reception and reservations as required.
5) Handle guest complaints.
Skills and experience
1) 2 years minimum experience at Front Office Duty Manager or Night Audit level.
2) Strong ability to handle and resolve mathematical and numerical issues.
3) Hold current LCQ
4) Must hold a current General Managers Certificate
5) Experience in Opera software would be highly beneficial.
6) Hold strong communication and organisational skills.
