Chef de Cuisine/ Catering Manager
Are you looking for a new and varied challenge? Are you passionate about producing amazing food and have the experience to run a commercially viable kitchen adhering to legislative and budgetary guidelines.
Deejays provides catering meal options to the 50+ inhouse operated School Canteens with room to develop this further. Additionally, we offer catering for a large range of school functions including Morning and Afternoon teas, staff lunches and full buffet meals for 20 to 500 people.
You will be a hands-on chef actively involved in the creating, cooking and development of meal options as well as the day to day running of the kitchen. Working as part of a small team you would be based in our purpose built commercial kitchen in East Tamaki.
This role requires:
Enthusiasm and energy
Relevant industry experience and knowledge
Ability to prepare, cook and display food to a very high standard
Knowledge of all kitchen procedures and Food Control Plan requirements
Ability to work with, coach and manage a small team
Menu development and costing experience
Hours would be full time Monday to Friday
Flexibility to work outside usual hours as the role dictates is essential
