About the role

1 Manage the entire operation of the restaurant/ bar
2 Recruiting, training and supervising staff
3 Process and analyze information when scheduling and budgeting.
4 monitor and oversee purchase of groceries and liquor.
5 planning menus and discuss them with chef and other staff for implementation 
6 Ensuring compliance with licensing, hygiene and health and safety legislation/ guidelines
7 promoting and marketing the business in local area.
8 estimates consumption forecast requirements and maintain inventory.
9 Ordering cleaning supplies and inventory.
10. producing staff rosters
11 Ensuring that staff requirements are met as per rosters, replacing any absences, that staff are clearly directed and treated within the terms of their employment contracts and house policies And procedures 
12 handling customer enquirers and complaints.
13 taking reservations 
14 Greeting and advising customers 
15 preparing and presenting staffing / sales reports
16 keeping and updating financial records 
17 assessing and improving profitability 
18 maintain high standards of quality control,hygiene and health and saftey
19 order stationary, check cash levels and prepare cash drawers and petty cash
20 Handling administration and paperwork
21 liaising with customers , employees, suppliers, licensing authorities, sales representatives etc
22 Making improvements to the running of the business and developing the restaurant
 

Note: Applicants must have at least 1 years of relevant experience
Applicants must also have manager's certificate

Applicants for this position should have NZ residency or a valid NZ work

Skills and experience

1-2 years Experience in related field( Preferably Indian Restaurant Experience).
