Big Fish Eatery in Penrose is taking pride in serving a modern take on Pan Asian Cuisine. While creating original pan Asian experiences, we keep true to traditional techniques and flavours.
Our new venue, Big Fish Stonefields, will be open their doors at the end of July, bringing modern asian cuisine to the neighbourhood.
All of our broth stocks and sauces are prepared by extracting flavors from natural sources -with real bones and fresh vegetables. Only the best ingredients are used to create our dishes. We source the freshest seafood with quality free range halal meats.

Experience is preferred, but training can be provided for the right person. Students welcome :)
Hours and days of work may vary, so applicants must be reasonably flexible with time. The work involves preparing of pan Asian style meals and other areas of business as listed below:
Sushi chef
- Preparing sushi and other meals
- Cutting fish
- Operate cooking equipment
- Storing food in temperature controlled facilities
- Plan new menus and estimate food requirements
- Train other kitchen staff members
- Design, plan and price menus with support of Head Chef & Junior Head Chef
- Continuous learning and research to stay up to date with current cuisine trends
Wok chef
- A passion for cooking quality food
- Wok experience
- Good knife skills
- Must have flexible availability which includes weekends
- Be prepared to carry out duties as requested, while keeping a clean & clear work station
- 1 year experience as a Wok chef/ Chinese cooking chef preferred
- Excellent food hygiene practices and personal presentation
Commis chef
- A passion for cooking quality food
- High energy and personal standards
- Enjoy challenges and working in a small team environment
- Basic knife skills
- Have reliable transport
- Excellent food hygiene practices and personal presentation
Breakfast Chef
- Enjoy challenges and working in a small team environment
- Basic knife skills
- Have reliable transport working morning shifts
