The Franz Josef i-SITE Visitor Information Centre is part of New Zealand's official Visitor Information Network providing information and bookings services to local, domestic and international visitors.
We are looking for a superstar Team Leader to support the Franz Josef the i-SITE visitor information centre.
Based at the brand new Glacier Base building, you will be providing visitors with information regarding visitor attractions, accommodation, transport, general information regarding the area, and making bookings on their behalf.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Strong customer service focus;
- A passion for the tourism industry, including regional tourism knowledge;
- Previous travel industry and customer service experience;
- Ability to build rapport quickly and easily with customers from a wide range of backgrounds, ages and cultures;
- Experience using computer booking systems, handling money, receipting and banking;
- Effective leadership skills to ensure all staff are lead in line with company policies and are supported and developed in their roles;
- Understanding of Tikanga and a willingness to support Ngāi Tahu Tourism's cultural aspiration programme including the use of Māori greetings in our language and communications.
This position will include shift work so you must be available to work variable shifts on weekdays, weekends, evenings and public holidays.
