Cafe Assistant (Lake Tekapo)
Tekapo Springs is looking for a hard working enthusiastic Cafe Assistant to join the team.
This is a permanent role with an immediate start for the right candidate.
Being point of contact with our customers requires the Cafe baristas to have the skills to provide exceptional service, prepare high standard barista coffee, be an up sale professional, have an independent work manner and be familiar with Food Health & Safety requirements and regulations.
The successful applicants will be working on a full-time roster system. Duties will include welcoming and serving customers, dealing with customer needs, take orders, sell and up sell our products, prepare excellent barista coffee, drink and food handling, to stock up drinks and food, cash handling and balancing, regular cleaning tasks, ability to cook the full kitchen menu when required and have basic bakery skills.
These positions require that you are able to work in a great team environment and support management with stock takes and orders.
We are looking for energetic, enthusiastic, confident, reliable and well-presented individuals with a professional manner. Applicants must have the following:

Excellent knowledge of coffee making, barista skills

Kitchen experience

Be able to sell and upsell product
-
Friendly verbal communication skills

Experience with cash handling
-
The ability to work well as part of a team & unsupervised

Ability to multitask
-
Be familiar with Food Health & Safety regulations

Have the LCQ and Duty Manager Certificate is of high advantage

Have a valid work visa for New Zealand
