We are a busy café located in Thorndon, Wellington, which has successfully combined café and catering services for over two decades. We offer quality coffee and healthy food together with great customer service and aim to delight our mainly professional customers.
About the role
We have a unique opportunity for an enthusiastic Café Supervisor to join our team providing exceptional service to our customers.
This role will have responsibility for the operation of the cafe on a day-to-day basis, including open and close the café, updating daily menu both on the website and social media, cabinet food presentation, stock ordering and control, cash management and reconciliation. You will have strong experience in customer service and a good barista skill. Importantly, you have excellent communication skills, a positive and enthusiastic attitude, and a commitment to providing excellent coffee and service!
Skills and Requirements:
The successful candidate must meet all the following requirements:
- Previous hospitality experience in a fast pace environment;
- Certified barista. At least 2 years barista experience in a high-volume environment and be able to make excellent coffee;
- Multi-task in a busy environment and can work under pressure;
- Professional attitude to work and strong work ethic – reliable, punctual, diligent, sense of urgency to get things done;
- Able to lead, manage and motivate your team effectively;
- Maintain high standard customer service, including handling customer complaints;
- An eye for details and a continuous improvement mindset;
- Health, safety and hygiene management to ensure A hygiene rating is maintained;
