We are Rydges Auckland, a beautiful 4.5 star 267 room hotel located in the heart of Auckland CBD that is proud to be a leading provider in exceptional accommodation, F&B offerings and conferencing facilities, all complimented by an amazing and dedicated team. We are now looking for an energetic, well-presented person to take up the full-time role of Rydges Auckland Bar Manager.
We are a busy high end restaurant which offers a New Zealand themed menu and we often cater for private functions and special events.
We are seeking a talented Food & Beverage expert to oversee our brand new, completely refurbished bar. This role also involves assisting the Outlets Manager in leading a team of 30 employees across 4 outlets (Restaurant, Bar, Room Service and Mini-Bar).
An expert at supervision and service, with a hands on approach and an outgoing, charismatic personality. The ideal candidate is someone whose ability to engage with our guests is second nature.
The Role and Your Skills
- Lead and inspire your team to deliver exceptional and genuine bar service.
- Assist the Director of Food and Beverage to improve operational standards.
- Develop initiatives to assist in continuously raising the team's expertise in all the Food & Beverage outlets, utilising all your talents to train & mentor team members
- Make a real impact in building relationships with the guests.
- Hands on decision making and problem solving skills.
- Experience in a Food & Beverage management role is a must.
- A great understanding of New Zealand wines
- Proficient in high end cocktail making and knowledge of high end spirits and liqueurs
- Must have a sound knowledge of New Zealand's liquor licensing, laws and regulations.
- Outstanding service & leadership skills
- A passion to meet and exceed customer's expectation is highly desirable.
- Flexibility to work shifts across the 7-day week including early mornings and late evenings.
- Duties also include maintaining stock levels, stock takes and costing's.
