Picton Yacht Club Hotel is seeking a service extraordinaire to welcome our guests and assist the business achieve its targets.  Your attention to detail is second to none.  You will be empowered, and challenged to do what is right in order to make our guests feel cared for and valued and wanting to come back. You will be a people's person and take pride in your department and hotel.

As Night Auditor you will ensure the front office is operating to maximize productivity. You will also be in charge of the property in the absence of the General Manager.  You will be expected to exhibit the Company values to provide guests with the best hotel experience.

Key responsibilities:

• Ensure all guests and visitors are warmly welcomed to the hotel
• Checking in and checking out guests, assist with luggage and parking
• Promptly and professionally answering guest enquiries
• Conversant with the hotel's reservations systems and processes
• Daily cashiering functions and other general front desk duties
• Ensure security and safety of the hotel at all times
• Manage hotel legal requirements in the absence of the General Manager

The ideal candidate will have:

• A positive, can-do attitude
• Strong command of English language
• Immaculate personal presentation and grooming standards.
• Outstanding customer service skills with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• Experience in a front office role within a hotel environment
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good team player, keen to learn and develop a career within the hotel industry
• New Zealand citizenship, residency or a current valid work permit.
