We are looking for a happy, honest person who can live in a semi rural environment and to spend the summer with us in the stunning Marlborough Sounds.
You will be responsible for the smooth running of the Cafe at Lochmara Lodge, including staff rosters for wait staff, ordering beverages, staff motivation, training new staff and taking charge of functions. The restaurant can seat 60 and caters to in-house guests, day visitors and functions/weddings. Experience making coffee on an espresso machine and holding a Bar Managers certificate an advantage.
As Lochmara is boat access only, all guests arrive to Lochmara via water taxi, walk in off the Queen Charlotte Track or kayak in. (But don't worry, staff travel into Picton free on our scheduled daily water taxi.)
Lochmara is set right on the waters edge in the Marlborough Sounds. An awesome place to spend the summer if you like the great outdoors. The position is live on-site. Start late September 2018 till end of May 2019. Must be able to commit for 8 months.
