We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced coffee-nerd to join the tight-knit team in our Christchurch roastery to lead our small dispatch and warehouse team.
Our ethos is simple. More people drinking and enjoying great coffee. For us that means sourcing and roasting fresh, high quality, ethical coffee and sharing our skills and experience with our customers.
When it comes to dispatch our team are essential in maintaining contact with both our wholesale and retail customers both in store and through our online sales and regular phone and email contact.
Our customers rely upon us to keep them caffeinated, reliability and great customer service are the key as we always look to build strong, lasting relationships with our customers.
When it comes to dispatch we take the same approach as we do with our beans. Quality over quantity.
Your role will be to process sales and invoices, order stock, pick and package orders, process courier labels and deliver customer orders accurately and efficiently, you will have great phone and email manners and handle all customer contact in a professional and helpful manner. This role will also involve some time roasting coffee and supporting our lead roaster.
You will often be the first point of contact our customers have with our company by phone and by email, it is important you have clear and helpful communication skills and have the ability to multi-task. You will receive, follow up and resolve customer enquires and concerns as soon as possible or pass on to the relevant staff in a timely manner so your ability to work as a team is important.
Must haves:
Experience in the coffee industry or strong coffee-nerd credentials.
At least two years proven experience within the coffee industry.
Demonstrated ability to work in and lead teams.
Experience with production and coffee roasting.
Excellent customer service skills.
Attention to detail.
Proficient computer/technology skills.
Ability to implement and follow company policy and values.
Ability to track and report on activity and progress.
Be able to work to deadlines.
Be physically fit.
A full New Zealand drivers license.
Nice to have:
Awareness of C4 Coffee Co and our history
General technical know-how ideally some experience with coffee machines, packaging equipment and roasting plant.
Retail sales experience.
Forklift license.
