Unique in design and beautifully finished, Hotel Montreal is a luxury boutique hotel offering accommodation that is the perfect mix of refined elegance and modern sophistication.

The Polo Bar is the perfect setting for breakfast, afternoon aperitifs or to enjoy our delicious shared plates from late afternoon. Inspired by Argentinian cuisine, we offer a menu of various sharing plates of selected meats smoked and chargrilled for a unique flavor.

We are currently recruiting a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the position of Restaurant Supervisor/Duty Manager.

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following attributes:

  • A minimum of 2 years experience in the hospitality industry with exposure to both Food & Beverage and Front Office
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate the team, providing a hands on approach and ensuring the focus is on delivering and exceeding expectations in guest service
  • A high level of organisation, time management and communication skills (both written and spoken), with excellent attention to detail
  • Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ) and General Manager's Certificate essential
  • Excellent knowledge of local and international wines and beverages
  • Commitment to providing and maintaining impeccable standards of guest service
  • Must be available to work as and when required as this is not a Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, role
  • High motivation and energy levels
  • A pride in their personal grooming

Applicants must have a good command of English and be legally entitled to work in New Zealand. You must be either a New Zealand Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a current and open work visa with at least 12 months until expiry.
