The Polo Bar is the perfect setting for breakfast, afternoon aperitifs or to enjoy our delicious shared plates from late afternoon. Inspired by Argentinian cuisine, we offer a menu of various sharing plates of selected meats smoked and chargrilled for a unique flavor.
We are currently recruiting a highly motivated and experienced individual to fill the position of Restaurant Supervisor/Duty Manager.
The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following attributes:
- A minimum of 2 years experience in the hospitality industry with exposure to both Food & Beverage and Front Office
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate the team, providing a hands on approach and ensuring the focus is on delivering and exceeding expectations in guest service
- A high level of organisation, time management and communication skills (both written and spoken), with excellent attention to detail
- Licence Controller Qualification (LCQ) and General Manager's Certificate essential
- Excellent knowledge of local and international wines and beverages
- Commitment to providing and maintaining impeccable standards of guest service
- Must be available to work as and when required as this is not a Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm, role
- High motivation and energy levels
- A pride in their personal grooming
Applicants must have a good command of English and be legally entitled to work in New Zealand. You must be either a New Zealand Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a current and open work visa with at least 12 months until expiry.
