The Position
The role of the Medical Receptionist/Customer Services is a shared front desk role and includes varied responsibilities, such as:
- Patient contact (phone and face to face), liaising with Specialists, hospital staff, suppliers etc
- Patient bookings procedures
- Liaising with Doctors, Nurses to ensure all patients are seen within a timely manner
- Some medical typing (reports)
- Process patient accounts
- General administration eg invoices, record keeping and other practice related tasks
- Training to be provided on patient recording and booking systems
You:
You will have all-round medical administration and reception experience, be a touch typist happy to learn the aspect of some medical typing (support), technologically savvy to pick up new systems (training on), be a calm, warm and positive person who genuinely cares about providing a wonderful customer service to the Specialists patients.
Any tertiary qualifications would be welcomed, or a candidate with fantastic experience who possesses the analytical ability and common-sense to use their initiative if something needs addressing (eg if something doesn’t look quite right on a Form).
On occasion you will be asked along with others, to provide cover in the other nearby Auckland specialist centres, thus a car is required those days – notice is provided.
