ABOUT THE COMPANY
Capital and Coast DHB (CCDHB) is located centrally in Wellington and has the equivalent of around 4,300 full time staff, making us a major employer in the Wellington region. We are also the leading provider of a number of specialist services, including neurosurgery, oncology, neonatal intensive care, specialised mental health services and support a population of about 900,000 people. Our DHB has an annual budget of more than $1 billion, which we use to deliver health services directly and contract external providers to provide care, such as general practices, rest homes and pharmacists.
ABOUT THE ROLE
Capital and Coast District Health Board are looking for two enthusiastic Quality Facilitators to join our team in Medicine, Cancer and Community Services Directorate.
The positions are 0.9 FTE part time permanent and 0.5 FTE part time permanent, days/hours can be negotiated.
The Directorate is responsible for four operational areas:
- Blood and Cancer, Renal and Palliative Care services
- Regional and Ambulatory services
- Medicine, Acute Flow and Emergency Services
- Kenepuru, Kapiti and Community Services
As the Quality Facilitator you report to the Quality Manager and will be responsible for supporting the directorate services in delivery of the quality agenda, development of quality improvement and risk management capability in the services. This includes provision of timely data reporting.
To be successful in the role you will have:
- A strong commitment to the delivery of a quality customer focused service
- Flexibility and ability to work through a changing environment
- Understanding of quality and service improvements
- Knowledge of risk management principles
- Excellent communication skills
- A clinical background
This role requires you to have a health related background to facilitate the successful delivery of the organisational quality agenda across the service, whilst providing support to the directorate’s Quality Manager.
