About the role
Our friendly care team are on the look-out for an experienced Senior Registered Nurse to lead them in providing first class resident directed care and services on a full time basis. This role encompasses the assessment, planning and implementation of nursing care; leading our committed team of Care Facility staff in a way that promotes effective communication, teamwork and high clinical standards; and driving quality improvement within the team.
On offer is a full time opportunity, working 40 hours per week. This will be a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse looking to grow their management skills.
Skills and experience required
To be successful you will have a current annual practicing certificate (APC), experience working in aged care in New Zealand, and excellent leadership and communication skills. You will also have a helpful, team focused attitude and a caring, respectful manner which is important in our aged care environment. Ideally, you will also have specialist nursing knowledge to share with the team in a relevant area such as palliative care, infection control or wound care.
You will appreciate how important this position is in delivering an outstanding service to our residents, so you will have empathy for the older person; excellent written and spoken English with the ability to communicate in a clear, considerate fashion; and an industrious, diligent approach to ensuring that the job is done to the highest standards.
