Our client is a large and well-known not-for-profit organisation based about 15km south of Brisbane CBD in Acacia Ridge. They are looking for an experienced Occupational Therapist to join their team on a locum basis for 5 weeks. This is a full-time role only and is required between the dates of the 23rd July and 31st August.
Unfortunately, new graduates cannot be considered.
About the role:
You will work in an Early Child hood setting that offers health services, family support, and education services to children and their families, (2-5 yrs of age). The role will be located at the site but will involved travel to early childhood education centres where the therapy would be provided.
Your roles and responsibilities will include the following:
- Assessment, intervention and onward planning for children aged 2 to 5 years old. T
- Utlise a client-centred and holistic approach where possible
- Work with children on a 1:1 and group basis
- Work in the centre and in childhood education centres
- Upskilling of centre staff
- Discussions with parents to advise longer term referral pathway and/or other suggested allied health interventions

About you:
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy and FULL AHPRA registration
- Recent police check
- Current drivers licence
- Experience working with an early years caseload
