Gynae OPD Services: Gain a broad range of experience across Gynae Health whilst working as part of the Gynae OPD Team. You will support patients and their families post surgery, during treatment or during routine follow-up appointments and checks. Patients may be diagnosed or undergoing treatment for the following issues and compliants: general gynaecology (menstrual disorders, pelvic floor dysfunction etc), HRT, family planning, endometriosis, pelvic pain, urogynaecology, colposcopy, gynaecologic cancer and pre-admissions clinic.
Gynae Day Stay Unit: You will work in a highly sensitive area that requires a Nurse with compassion, tact and an apolitical stance to provide care and support for patients undergoing elective and non-elective first trimester pregnancy termination (medical or surgical). You will take your own patient load and provide appropriate pre or post procedure care, advice and support to patients, their partners and their families.
As part of the team you will also assist your team members to ensure the ward/ unit functions smoothly, by going above and beyond to support where possible.
Duties may also include:
- Providing wound assessment & care
- Liaising with Specialist, Surgeons and MDT
- Administering Medication
- Supervising support staff
- Assisting with procedures
- Arranging admissions and discharges
Required skills & experience:
- At least 12-months NZ Nursing Experience (or comparative Healthcare Systems) or 6-months NZ experience post CAP course completion
- Current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC) with the NZ Nursing Council
- Ability to obtain verbal references from two senior referees whom you have worked with in the last 2 years
- Must be eligible to work in NZ with appropriate immigration visa
