Role Description
The New Zealand Medical Communications group are looking for an experienced or aspiring Medical Writer to join our Auckland based team. The team works closely with overseas sales and editorial staff and our pharmaceutical industry clients, on a range of writing projects to support our global Medical Communications business. Projects include slide kits, congress materials (abstracts, posters), congress reporting, competitive intelligence projects, literature monitoring and evaluation, and preparation of manuscripts for journal submission.
Our Auckland team of writers work closely together to manage daily workflow and priorities.
The successful candidate will have a background in human biology, physiology, pharmacology, pharmacy or medicine, and preferably some previous experience in Medical Communications writing. They will be able to work autonomously to deliver high-quality editorial services across a range of project types and they will be comfortable finding their own solutions, and making prompt decisions based on customer need and expectations.
Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across the group are a given, as is proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite. Knowledge of clinical research methodology and reference management programmes would be an advantage.
