About the role

Village Registered Nurse (VRN) will work closely with our friendly Independent Living team, who provide an excellent service for residents in our Independent living facilities.  We are on the look-out for three experienced Registered Nurses providing resident directed care and services as follow:

  • Responding to Clinical call outs for Independent Living and stand alone rest home residents
  • Regular Health Monitoring for Independent Living residents
  • Developing programs and service for Independent Living residents
  • Providing Rest Home support

These are permanent vacancies to cover a rotating roster; two fulltime (40 hours per week and one part-time (32 hours per week).

About you

Your experience working in aged care in New Zealand, excellent leadership and communication skills and the ability to use your initiative and self-manage your time will be key to your success in this role.

You will also have a helpful team focused attitude and a caring, respectful manner which is important in our aged care environment. Ideally, you will also have specialist nursing knowledge to share with the team in a relevant area such as medication competence and infection control. You will be registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and have a current annual practicing certificate.

To deliver at the outstanding service to our Independent Living residents, you will have empathy for the older person and have a diligent approach to ensuring that the job is done well. Your ability to communicate in a clear and considerate fashion will allow you to grow in the role.
