Two permanent part-time positions available working 64 hours a fortnight (0.8FTE)

An opportunity has arisen for two Acute Community Mental Health Clinicians, who are able to provide a range of high quality assessment, therapeutic modalities and intensive support for acutely unwell people, working together with their family/whanau within the community.

You will be an experienced and enthusiastic mental health professional, (e.g. Registered Nurse, Occupational Therapist or Social Worker), with appropriate current practising certificate, who engenders confidence, trust and rapport with clients and their support networks.

If you tick the following, we'd be keen to consider your application to join our multidisciplinary team:

  • A minimum of two years post graduate experience working in acute psychiatry, with strong assessment and risk management skills
  • Experience working with a range of assessment tools and therapeutic interventions with people in the acute phase of illness
  • Current up-to-date knowledge and experience of mental illness and related issues
  • Registered clinician with Mental Health Scope and current Annual Practising Certificate
  • Able to apply clinical skills flexibly, innovatively and autonomously
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to educate others
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A person of integrity, who maintains confidentiality, is tactful and sensitive in dealing with people and other health professionals
  • Willingness and able to be appointed as a Duly Authorised Officer and participate in the on-call roster
  • Has a current driver's licence
