ABOUT THE ROLE
This is an essential role in facilitating the smooth running of activities in the busy Kenepuru Dialysis Unit.
This position ensures daily unit activities to support patient cares are met, including preparing supplies for patient treatment, restocking, cleaning equipment, and general support to the Dialysis Unit nursing team to meet service needs.
Part time rostered and rotating positions available for a Health Care Assistant to cover 7 morning shifts a fortnight from Monday – Sunday 10.30 am -2.30 pm.

DUTIES
- Positive people interactions
- Prepare supplies for patient treatment
- Prepare dialysis space
- Cleaning equipment
- Keep unit clean and tidy
- Trolleys are well stocked
- Respond to nurse requests for assistance
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Effective time management skills
- Positive work attitude
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable
- Ability to work under direction but also carry out tasks independently
- Basic computer literacy
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting beneficial
- Level 3 NZQA qualification
