We require an experienced Registered Nurse within our minimum secure inpatient facility - Tamahere Hospital and Healing Centre for weekend work Saturday and Sunday predominately day shift (7.45am to 4.00pm) however some occasional PM shifts may be required (3.45pm to 12pm) if available. We may consider a shared position which could offer alternate weekends.
Tamahere Hospital and Healing Centre is a 15 bed kaupapa Maaori sub-acute forensic facility. You will be supported by an experienced team who actively participate in management of residents within the hospital.
We are looking to find a compassionate, enthusiastic, mature minded, and a motivating individual to join our service.
The role requires you:
- be registered with the New Zealand Nursing Council
- have a current annual practising certificate
- have previous mental health inpatient experience as this is a Charge Nurse position
The successful applicant will need to:
- have high professional standards in accordance with professional best practice
- accurately record their work in a clinical management system
- respond to whanau needs with expert skill and knowledge
- use initiative and ability to manage the needs of the hospital
- work collaboratively with a wide range of clinicians and support staff
Those employed:
- Must comply with the requirements of the Vulnerable Children's Act 2014 in full
- Have a clean Police Vetting record, this will include any charges under the * Criminal records (Clean Slate ) Act 2004
- Hold a current, clean full New Zealand Driver's License, as driving is a requirement of this position
- must be legally entitled to work in New Zealand
