We are seeking expressions of interest from suitably qualified Paramedics or Intensive Care Paramedic’s (ICP) for a unique and exciting opportunity with New Zealand Air Ambulance Service. Positions will be available throughout the Central Region, North Island, New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities:
NZAAS paramedics work autonomously, and as part of a larger team responsible for pre-hospital retrieval of patients.
NZAAS paramedics are responsible for the clinical management of patients being transported by rotary wing. Responsibilities include triage, clinical care of patients from the referral point to relinquishment of care at the receiving point.
The role involves shift work on a rotating roster including night shifts and weekend work.
To be considered for this role it is essential that you meet the following criteria:
- Minimum five years experience as a Paramedic or ICP
- Excellent operational and clinical performance to date
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong customer focus
- A genuine commitment to the wellbeing of others
- Ability to work under pressure
- Ability to spend considerable time working and / or traveling in the confined spaces of a small aircraft
- Current NZ Drivers Licence
- Current Passport
- Paramedics are required to maintain a reasonable level of physical fitness
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience as a flight paramedic or ICP an advantage
