Our Mt Eden practice is looking for an experienced Dental Assistant / Receptionist to join our team, for the following days and hours:
Monday - Thursday: 8.00 am - 5.15 pm
Friday: 8.00 am - 4.15 pm
As our Dental Assistant/ Receptionist, your role will mainly be supporting the Lead Dentist in the surgery and on Wednesday's you will be working on the Front Desk.
As a Dental Assistant, your main role is to support the Lead Dentist by assisting them during patient appointments in the surgery, cleaning of the surgery between patients, sterilisation of dental equipment and maintaining stock levels as required.
To provide our new employee with variety and the opportunity to gain new skills, as our Receptionist, you will be responsible for greeting patients and making all patients feel comfortable and welcome. Your responsibilities also include assisting our patients with their enquiries -both over the phone and in person, generating and confirming appointment bookings for our dentists and hygienist, complete payment processing, reconciling banking each day and any other administrative duties as required.
You will have:
- Experience as a Dental Assistant (not required but advantageous)
- Exceptional customer relationship care skills
- Strong computer skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- The ability to work well in a team and adapt to different working styles
- Strong multi-tasking skills and be able to work well under pressure
