Safe Network has a fantastic multi-disciplinary team providing specialist community-based services for people with concerning, problematic and harmful sexual behaviour. We have services for children from five years-old through to adults. This is a challenging and leading-edge area of work and if you are interested we would like to meet you..

    Job tasks and responsibilities

    • Conduct assessments and deliver interventions from a wider systemic and socio-ecological perspective
    • Use your clinical expertise to provide a range of therapeutic interventions, including individual, group and family work

    Skills and experience

     You will need to:

    • Have a tertiary-level therapeutic qualification with NZ registration or eligibility for practice in NZ.
    • Have at least two years' experience as a counsellor, psychotherapist or psychologist involving work with behavioural problems.
    • Be able to provide high quality evidence-based assessments and interventions for children, adolescents and adults
    • Possess good communication skills and networking skills.
    • Be motivated and client focussed.
    • Show integrity and strong relationship building skills.
    • Have experience in working as part of a therapy team.

    Ideally you would also:

    • Have skills and experience in working with Maori and/or Pasifika clients and clinical frameworks
    • Be eligible for registration with ACC to provide Integrated Services for Sensitive Claims (ISSC)
    • Have experience with assessment and intervention for concerning or harmful sexual behaviours and/or family violence.
