The nursing service is made up of two teams who work in a highly integrated way, sharing roles and supporting each other’s work while maintaining clinical networks and relationships across the Auckland region:

  • Cancer Information Service nursing team provide information and support to clients through our Cancer Information Helpline 0800 CANCER, library and accommodation facility: Domain Lodge.  Plus have a presence in a clinical setting at AHB once a week.

There will be occasions when you will be expected to work in the Cancer Information Service answering calls on the 0800 CANCER Information Helpline, responding to email inquiries and meeting with people who visit the service.

You are not expected to know everything!  We provide support and professional development.  The role is busy and varied, but there is time to care and your expertise and enthusiasm will be rewarded.
