About the business and the role

Unichem Central Pharmacy Rotorua is a well established , busy pharmacy situated in a busy Medical Centre building just outside the CBD .

Central Pharmacy is a multi-faceted pharmacy with focus on provision of services to Resthomes as well as a busy prescription and Over the counter retail business .

The supply of medications to resthomes  and Long Term Condition patients in the community is supply in sachet packets dispensed robotically .

Job tasks and responsibilities

The core duties required  would include working with Pharmacists and technicians  in the dispensing of medications either to general public or resthome patients . Including , dispensing , cleaning , stocking shelves ,stock control , delivering medications, talking to and handing out medications to patients. 

Skills and experience

Experience essential and must be willing to absorb new skills and training.The successful applicant must be willing to work weekend hours . 

Applicants with  New Zealand Dispensary Technician experience , qualified or training in a full time paid  position   will only be considered .Proof of job experience will be required  and checked .

Job benefits and perks

The successful applicant will be working with a great team of pharmacists and staff . We have 6 full time pharmacists working along with quailified  and training technicians plus a large shop staff . The shop is open seven days a  week  8.30am till 5.30pm  Monday to Friday and Saturday 8.30am till 5pm and Sunday 10 till 4pm . The dispensary is staffed by one pharmacist  and Dispensary assistant on Sundays.  ,

Remuneration dependant on experience level.
