Planning, Funding & Outcomes

Waitemata District Health Board

 

Waitemata District Health Board (WDHB) employs over 7,000 highly skilled clinical and non-clinical professionals and has a total annual operating expenditure of approximately $1.4billion. As the largest DHB in New Zealand comprising of two main sites in West and North Auckland, it provides health services to a population of approximately 600,000.

 

The Planning, Funding and Outcomes team works across both Waitemata and Auckland DHBs, with a shared vision and purpose of delivering better outcomes, high quality services, and maximising the health and well-being of the people of Auckland.

 

As the Business Support Manager you will have the opportunity to put your skills to the fore by assisting the Directors of Funding and Health Outcomes to complete various project work and analytical based tasks; as well as provide business support services to ensure the smooth operation of the Planning, Funding and Outcomes team.

 

You will ensure your success in this role by having a strong understanding of what makes organisations tick.   You will be a self-motivated, innovative person, likely to be a professional individual with a background as an office manager, portfolio manager or in some other role requiring a high level of organisation and the ability to resolve challenges through your own initiative. 

 

You will need well-rounded expertise in: 

  • Business  and report writing to a senior level
  • Commercial / office management operations
  • Managing governance processes and small projects
  • Provide efficient operational performance
  • Staff management and HR processes

In addition, you will need excellent communications skills, be computer literate and enjoy problem resolution.  

 

This position would suit someone who would like to work closely with senior management to make a real difference to the service we provide to our clients.
