An excellent opportunity exists for an innovative, proactive individual to provide leadership and management expertise to ensure the provision of consistent quality services as well as shaping the future of the service. Based at Middlemore Hospital and reporting to the General Manager Kidz First and Women’s Health Division, you will be forward thinking with the ability to manage and support team members at an operational level as well as contribute to and initiate strategic perspectives.
In this role you will be required to lead, manage and facilitate Obstetrics and Gynaecology service delivery through providing leadership, direction and support for staff to ensure effective operational management and provision of high quality care for patients and their families. The role also ensures services are co-ordinated across the Middlemore Hospital, Manukau Super Clinic and other community facilities as well as across the acute and elective continuums.
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Be an experienced leader with extensive management experience in a complex and challenging environment
- Tertiary qualification relevant to service and operational management
- Have worked in a healthcare environment at a senior level in a small/medium organisation
- Have financial and budget management skills
- Have an understanding of the New Zealand Health Strategy and other Government policy settings as it pertains to Women’s Health services
