Applicants for this role must have management experience in a New Zealand elder care setting and possess particular knowledge of dementia training and care. A tertiary qualification of bachelor degree level or above in a health discipline is mandatory for this role. Holding US4098 or having started this unit standard is a role requirement. The ability to lead a research project and secure private and public funding will be a contributing factor to this appointment.
Preference will be accorded to New Zealand citizens or applicants with Western healthcare experience who are eligible to work in NZ. A full New Zealand drivers licence is also a requirement of this role.
The successful applicant will manage the companys' unit of dementia trained health care assistants, organise dementia training programs, plan the internal and external rosters on a day to day basis and lead the dementia research program.
HCS is a boutique bureau based in Takapuna and is increasingly specialising in the provision of trained HCA's for the care of dementia patients.
