The Hospital

The Opportunity

We are seeking motivated, innovative and patient-care orientated Registered Nurses/Midwives to be part of the Maternity Services team and who are willing to grow with our services whilst being part of a supportive culture to achieve excellence in care. Our unit comprises of 4 birthing suites, 25 ward beds and 6 special care cots providing care for babies greater than 34 weeks.

Essential key areas of focus for this role include:

  • Delivering an exceptional patient experience within the Special Care Nursery
  • Ensuring patient flow is managed whilst providing high standards of patient care
  • Role Model empathy to patients, families and medical consultants
  • Possess current midwifery and/or nursing registration with AHPRA
  • Have postnatal and/or lactation support experience
  • Have a contemporary knowledge of best practice in newborn nursing care
  • Be highly accountable and demonstrate a supportive and engaging style
  • Be passionate about patient care and achieving high quality clinical outcomes
  • Be highly motivated to learn and willing to undertake continuing education and grow professionally
  • Recent clinical experience in Special Care Nursery/Neonatal Intensive Care Unit
  • Have a relevant post-graduate certificate (highly desirable)
