Permanent, part time position – working 60 hours a fortnight (0.75FTE)
We are seeking a practical, well organised and physically fit person with life experience and excellent written and oral communication skills to join our busy, friendly, and supportive team. You will provide safe, efficient and effective Allied Health Assistant interventions to clients and whanau across inpatients, outpatients and community areas as directed by a registered staff member.
Duties are varied and may include:
- Assisting with patient mobility
- Implementing therapy programs, designed by allied health professionals
- Support and supervising patients with activities of daily living
- Undertaking individual or group therapy
- Administration tasks
- Assisting and coordinating services
- Cleaning and maintenance of equipment
- Ordering stock and equipment
- Recording activities and undertaking statistics
Days of work
To meet the service needs the hours of work are required to be daily Monday to Friday.
Qualifications and Experience
A Home Carer Certificate, or equivalent, and/or experience within the health sector is preferred, but not essential as full training will be provided.
*NCEA Level 3: New Zealand Certificate in Health and Wellbeing – Health Assistance Strand if not previously obtained; is to be completed within 2 years of commencement, or to be commenced within your first year of employment.
