We are recruiting two Rural Nurse Specialists (RNS) for the South Westland Area Practice. Rural nursing encompasses both primary and emergency care and is an excellent opportunity to use and refine your advanced nursing skills both in the clinic and wider community setting.
As a RNS you will provide nurse led primary care, as well as after hours care according to a roster. It is important that you feel comfortable working autonomously at an advanced level. Noting you have plenty of colleagues you can call on for advice. Ideally you would already have Emergency and / or Practice Nurse Experience. We will provide PRIME training if required
If you would like to expand your skills and work at the top of your Registered Nurse scope of practice, South Westland is the place for you. You will find living and working in South Westland is unbeatable in its diversity, with an enviable climate and a laid back unique life style.
One position is based in Haast 0.5 FTE (plus weekend on call). The second position is a 0.8 FTE position as the Roving RNS. Although based in the Glacier region; it covers staff leave throughout South Westland and therefore involves travel. Subsidized accommodation for both positions can be discussed at enquiry.
