The Company:
Our client, has been New Zealand's leading Employee Assistance Programme provider delivering employee support solutions to over 1400 New Zealand businesses, providing services to a wide-range of private and public sector organisations.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Registered Psychologist for full time role based in Manukau.
The Role:
- To provide personal counselling support to clients & to attend onsite at client organisation sites to provide individual and group support as a result of critical incident situations
- To ensure all counselling support services are provided within the professional standards and ethics as required by their professional associations.
- To ensure all trends & patterns in client presentation are discussed with their Services Manager or the Professional Services Manager where those trends or patterns may have an impact on the client organisation.
- To ensure that all individual clients who present at Level 4 or Level 5 (Impact Level assessment) are discussed with their Services Manager or the Professional Services Manager.
- Working on Short-Term interventions (1-6 sessions – average 3)
- The case load will require good 'generalists skilled I to be able to assist clients facing a variety of workplace and or personal issues – see what is an Employee Assistance Programme
- The number of sessions per week will be 35, although they will average only 30 bookings (clients cancel/no-shows)
- Some seeking support will be at a higher level of need, while others will require more general support.
The Candidate:
- A registered Psychologist, ideally with 5+ years work experience
- The professional will undertake any research as required.
- The Professional will provide any written reports or material in a professional and timely manner.
- The professional will undertake regular supervision as required by their professional membership body.
