About the role

We have a permanent, full-time role available in our central Auckland team. The ideal candidate will bring relevant clinical knowledge and post qualifying experiences from the Mental Health sector, a flexible approach, people's skills and be open to new learning as part of on-going professional development. Your hours of work will be Monday to Friday between 8.30am and 5.00pm.

In this role you will:

  • integrate clinical and rehabilitation knowledge and competencies with recovery approaches to provide quality services to clients and their family/whanau
  • facilitate clients to work towards their personal goals and aspirations
  • provide dedicated key support to clients
  • conduct assessments and reviews
  • coach and mentor support workers.

Who we're looking for

We are looking for someone who is positive, flexible, vibrant, confident and compassionate to work in our service. You must be self starter who is culturally connected and holds value in our values.

You'll naturally be a problem solver, quick thinker and enjoy connecting with the community. You'll use your non judgemental attitude and belief to encourage clients to change and grow.

What you need:

  • Registration with a Professional Body covered by CHPA 2003 Act or Social Worker Registration Act 2003
  • Current APC
  • Experience and/or knowledge in the Mental Health / Addictions sector
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development
  • Demonstrated commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi and culturally safe practice
  • A current full driver's licence
  • Strong computer skills, a 'can-do' attitude and be able to demonstrate strong personal and professional boundaries
