We are looking for a full time Clinical Nurse Specialist with a general surgical portfolio, inclusive of breast care, wound care and IV expertise.
As a CNS, you will be a seen as both the clinical expert and clinical leader.
As a clinical expert in breast care you will work in conjunction with general surgeons to provide support to patients diagnosed with breast cancer and subsequent follow up. You will also have demonstrated expertise in both wound care and IV management.
As a clinical nurse specialist you will be educating mentoring others in these specialist areas. This includes working alongside surgeons, anaesthetists and other healthcare professionals to provide patient centred care. You will be involved in quality improvement projects, participate in research programmes and advise in policy development.
Role requirements include:
- Registration with the Nursing Council of NZ and a current APC
- Relevant postgraduate diploma (or be prepared to work towards one)
- Demonstrated relevant clinical experience
- Ability to function as an autonomous practitioner
- Proven expert clinical assessment skills
