Puawai – Midland Regional Forensic Psychiatric Service
Mental Health and Addictions Service
80 hours per fortnight
We are seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist to join our Puawai Midland Regional Community Forensic Service. You will work within a multi-disciplinary team both in the prison and community settings.
We are look for someone who has the following skills:
- Ability to work autonomously, as well as part of a team.
- Experience of working collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Well-developed skills in comprehensive and mental health and risk assessment. Forensic experience is preferable.
- Skills in effective documentation of clinical assessments and interventions, including formulation.
- A strong recovery focus and a sensitivity of cultural aspects of mental health and the ability to apply the Treaty of Waitangi principles into practice.
- A positive and flexible attitude.
