Every day as a Perioperative Assistant in the operating rooms, you'll assist the nursing team with the perioperative care of our patients, along with preparing equipment and ensuring a continuous supply of sterile items to our operating rooms. Your keen eye for detail and your well organised and adaptable approach to your work will ensure you quickly become a key member of our team, and your passion for the operating rooms and perioperative care will put you in good stead for this role.
This is a permanent fulltime position (1.0 FTE, 80 hours per fortnight) working rostered shifts, which may include weekend work from time to time. As our preferred candidate, you will have the following attributes and skills:
- Previous experience working within the peri-operative setting, with experience managing sterile stock levels and completing sterile equipment set-ups being highly advantageous
- Be a team player and an excellent communicator (both verbally and in writing)
- Be comfortable building strong working relationships across all levels of the organisation, including our operating room and central sterile supply department teams
