You will answer phones, manage appointment books, ensure accurate invoicing, handle money, prepare repeat prescriptions, maintain accurate enrolment processes, track who is in the building and waiting times, be willing to muck in to keep the medical centre working safely and efficiently, above all be a friendly face to staff and patients alike.
Hours of work will be determined by the team roster and worked while the medical centre is open (Monday to Friday; 8.00am to 6.00pm). A willingness and ability to be flexible, when other team members are away, is essential.
We have 7600 enrolled patients, 8 doctors, 5 nurses and 6 reception/administration staff, we use MedTech32 and are Cornerstone Accredited.
You will need to:
- Be good with people
- Have an ability to stay calm under pressure
- Be adept at handling cash
- Adhere to the Health Information Privacy Code (1994)
- Have a willingness to learn
- Be a multi-tasker
- Be a meticulous administrator
- Be IT literate
- Be a team player
While having Medtech experience, plus previous medical and accounts knowledge, would be an advantage this is not essential as full training will be given.
