We have a bold vision to create the world's most liveable city and deliver great value for money for Aucklanders. We're seeking a motivated, analytically and commercially astute individual to step into the role of Senior Financial Advisor

- Produce budgets and financial models to assit with decision making
- CA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent
THE OPPORTUNITY
The Senior Financial Advisor role has several functions:
- Analysis and reporting to senior managers on movements in the operating expenditures and revenues to assist in budget decision making.
- Produce high quality annual/long-term planning financial information that is on time, which feeds into the draft and final planning documents.
- Business Partnering
- Forecast modelling and review
- Providing guidance and development to Finance Technicians and Financial Advisors in the team.
ABOUT YOU
You will be someone who is positive, vibrant and passionate about their role and wants to make a difference. You will have experience working in a large complex environment and engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
To be successful in this role you'll have the following qualifications and experience:
- CA or equivalent qualification.
- 8+ years' post-graduate experience in Finance, with at least 2 years operating at a senior advisory level
- Ability to engage and influence at all levels
- Advanced communication skills
- Track record of challenging existing standards and costs for services through effective performance management processes and best values principals
- Planning, budgeting and forecasting in a complex environment
- Implement the end to end budget process
- Develop financial modelling and analysis for investment and change proposals
- Management reporting and analysis including financial performance and non-financial performance measures
- Lead and implement forecast processes for operating budget, CAPEX and KPI’s
