We are looking for a methodical and thorough person with a strong work ethic and an open mindedness to change with the ability to guide other team members to join our team and the journey for Payroll Systems Operations as a Senior Payroll Processing Officer.

In this role you will run a variety of system processes to generate the pay, payslips and pay reports; and to create the bank file.  An important part of the role is identifying data anomalies or system issues and escalating these to ensure quality and avoid delays in meeting EPL’s KPIs.

We want to hear from you if you have a demonstrated record of 5-6 years successful delivery of payroll services in a senior role with specialisation in payroll processing.  Experience in end to end payroll processing is also preferred, as well as a keen desire to learn and grow in an ever-changing environment.

To be successful in this position you will need:

Essential

  • At least five years’ experience in HR or Payroll
  • Strong understanding of computerised HRIS and/or Payroll systems
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Previous experience in  coordinating and overseeing the work of others, including mentoring and providing subject matter expertise on payroll processing
  • Must have excellent time management skills
  • Understanding of current relevant employment legislation
  • Ability to effectively supervise team members and work as a member of that team
  • High degree of verbal/written communication
  • Team Player
  • Ability to adapt in a changing environment

You must be willing and able to work an 80 hour fortnight consisting of rotational shifts including weekend, evenings and nights, sometimes up to 12 hours per shift. 

You must be eligible to work in New Zealand.
