Western Australia’s first hybrid theatre is due to open this year and we are looking for a true, unit manager to work as a project lead for the new set- up, implement change and continue with the day- to- day Unit success.
  
By the end of the year, you will see yourself managing a total of 11 operating/ procedure rooms.
  
I am calling- out to all our current, Kiwi Unit Managers and 2IC’s working in a NZ Hybrid Theatre that are keen to relocate permanently to Perth and willing to spearhead this state- of- the- art Unit.  
  
The Role:
  • Provide leadership to the peri operative service; strategic direction, operational processes/ direction, budget and business direction of the facility
  • Coordinate the delivery of nursing care
  • Responsible for the effective management of human, financial and material resources and ensure customer service is maintained
  • Participate in the marketing initiatives of the facility to promote growth, help identify clinical areas for expansion and represent the hospital at external clinical forums.
  • Maintain a professional development portfolio with a commitment to ongoing learning and development.
  • Have a ‘hands on’ clinical approach to your Managerial practice and not afraid to ‘role up your sleeves’ and get in there!  
You must be competent within the following:
  • Human resource management
  • Conflict resolution skills
  • Policy development
  • Successful management of Budgets and attainment of budgetary targets and KPIs
  • Knowledge of accreditation processes and Quality / Risk management
  • Knowledge of Workplace Health and Safety 
Successful applicants will prove:
  • Current, or eligible for AHPRA
  • Post- graduate studies in a relevant clinical field or healthcare management
  • 5 years’ + recently working within a Peri- op unit
  • 3 years’ + recent management experience
  • Willing to undergo the WA Police Vetting process and WWCC
  • Willing to comply with the WA State Health Screening/ Vaccination requirements
