ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a full-time pharmacist who is excited about the visions we share at the Hutt Valley District Health Board and the future of our dynamic pharmacy profession.
Your primary role as a clinical pharmacist will be to work as part of a multidisciplinary team providing a consultant linked clinical pharmacy services to a range of medical, rehabilitation, surgical, and/or specialty teams.
The role will include participation in ward rounds, medicines reconciliation, discharge counselling, some dispensary services, mentoring, and promoting the safe and quality use of medicines. You would be expected to provide effective clinical pharmacy services with a focus on improving patient outcomes and ensuring optimal medicines utilisation.
The Pharmacy team is well respected by clinicians, nursing staff, and senior management across the organisation, and is constantly looking at ways to improve the service it delivers. If you are highly self-motivated, enjoy working with other professionals, and can demonstrate effective teamwork and communication, then this role could be for you..
SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
Candidates must have be registered as a pharmacist in New Zealand and hold a current APC and have at least three years of clinical experience. Hospital pharmacy experience preferred.
