THE ROLE:
As a Senior Accountant you will be expected to take ownership of a portfolio of clients and become the critical link between the Firm and the Customer. With mentorship and training you will become the key relationship holder with your clients, meet with them as regularly as you see fit, identify opportunities to add value to a clients’ business and to improve existing services. Hence you will become involved in preparing business plans, producing cash-flow forecasts, assisting clients in obtaining bank loans, suggest and implement improvements to a client’s IT systems (Xero in particular.), process improvement, liaison with auditors plus more.
YOU:
To be successful in this role you must possess the following experience and attributes:
- CA qualified with a minimum of 3 years’ experience within a New Zealand based CA Firm
- Have strong technical accounting skills
- Have exceptional communication and relationship building skills
- Be driven and passionate about going above and beyond to assist clients to achieve their goals
- Be able to think laterally about a client’s business and go beyond the numbers
- Have confidence in your own ability but be able to ask for coaching and advice when required
- Experience with APS and Xero would be an advantage
